The Mañanas are a power pop/garage rock project hailing from Denver, Colorado. During the 2023 season of Denver Arts and Venues' in association with Denver Film, "Film on the Rocks", the trio took to the Red Rocks Amphitheater stage. Drawing inspiration from sixties bands, The Mañanas possess a sound that is familiar but most definitely their own. Lead vocals and guitar are provided by Brandon Unpingco, who teamed up with producer/drummer Danny Pauta in 2019 to lay down the foundation of the musical project. Today, The Mañanas are a trio, made complete by bassists and backup vocals from Neoma. There is an energy to the band, full of fun choruses, lightning-sharp guitars, and a sound mix that spans between low and hi-fi. Self-described as a "Pandemic Band" the trio found a fearlessness to the music they made during lockdown. The Mañanas released their debut album, Cheers, in February 2021. Together The Mañanas capture their live band sound in every performance whether on stage or in the studio. That sound and production can be appreciated in singles released in 2022.
