On this Day in the Life episode viewers ride along with Hazmat 38 as the crew does a changeover from their 20-year-old HAzardous Materials Emergency Response "HAMER" into their brand new, custom built 2023 Freightliner/SVI vehicle. The changeover gets unexpectedly interrupted when a traffic collision on C-470 turns into a possible radiological emergency. Before Hazmat 38 could even clear the scene, another hazardous materials incident occurred in Parker, and the crew was on the move again.
